Our Pastor

Dr. Todd Lasseter

Dr. Todd Lasseter was born in Hattiesburg, MS on July 5, 1961. He is the second born of five children. Dr. Lasseter spent most of his childhood days in Hattiesburg before moving to Jackson, MS in his early teen years. Dr. Lasseter graduated from Forest Hill High School in Jackson, MS in 1979, and was soon married to his sweet, loving wife, Terri, at the tender age of eighteen. Dr. and Mrs. Lasseter have five children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Lasseter moved to the DFW area in 1982 with a secular business where he was the manager for two years. Dr. Lasseter was contacted at his home by two soul winners from Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, TX and later came to Trinity Baptist Church where he was gloriously and eternally saved on December 2, 1984. Shortly after his salvation, God called Dr. Lasseter to preach in August of 1985, and he enrolled in the Norris Bible Baptist Seminary in the fall of 1987 and graduated in 1990.

God used Dr. Bob W. Smith as a great part of Dr. Lasseter’s beginning in the ministry. Dr. Lasseter came on staff at Trinity Baptist Church in September of 1987 and continued as a faithful staff member until the church called him as their pastor in December of 2009. After twenty-three years as a faithful staff member under the leadership of Dr. Bob W. Smith, Dr. Lasseter assumed the full-time pastorate on October 17, 2010, upon Dr. Smith’s retirement.

Dr. Lasseter has a vision for the DFW area and the mission fields beyond. His goal, over the next twenty years, is to start ten new Baptist churches all around the DFW area to spark revival once again in this great hot-bed of Fundamental Baptist Churches.

The Lord has blessed Dr. Lasseter’s life in such a tremendous way that he has no greater love or ambition than to serve God with the rest of his life.
